Behind the Scenes: A Typical Day For A Content Creator

Good morning and welcome back to the blog. Today I will give you the rundown on a typical day in my life as a blogger. One very important thing to mention is that my blogging schedule consists of working three days a week. I have been blogging for 10+ years now. When I originally started blogging I worked seven days a week, however, over the years I have narrowed the work week down to only three days and it works well for me. The most important thing I can teach you is to find a schedule and a system that works for you. Are you ready for a typical day in my life as a blogger? Here we go!

Emails

My least favorite part but definitely a necessity. I always start the day going through emails, responding to PR Companies that have reached out to let them know if I'm interested in a collaboration.

Interact with Followers

I love hopping on my socials and checking in with my followers first thing in the morning. Interacting with followers is probably my favorite part of blogging.

Read Morning Newsletters

I have free subscriptions to newsletters that are either relevant to my field or are just a peaking interest to help me stay informed. You can check out some of the newsletters I subscribe to here.

Meditation

I meditate every morning and every night before bed. Starting my day with a morning meditation helps me focus better throughout the day and gives me the clarity I need to make decisions. Meditation keeps my stress level down all day. I meditate at night because it helps me unwind after a long day. Once I finish my evening meditation I head to bed and fall asleep to a sound bath for a great night's sleep.

Yoga/ Workout

Honestly I'm not one of those people that can work out as soon as they wake up in the morning. It's usually somewhere between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM when I decide to work out. Yoga is my preferred workout method but sometimes I need something more and switch it up. Working out gives me a boost of energy that keeps me going throughout the day.

Listen to Podcasts

I'm a huge fan of podcasts! Listening to podcasts helps me get through the day. While some are for learning, others are just entertaining. You can find some of my favorite podcasts here.

Setting Up A Monthly Blog Calendar

There are so many ways to set up a blog calendar. I prefer a notebook and pencil over digital but again do what works best for you. I prefer paper and pencil and cute little sticky notes but hey that's just me. I publish one blog post a week so my calendar has the blog post title ( penciled in ) for every Monday during the month. The reason I pencil it in is in case I need to move things around and a pencil is great for that.

Setting Up A Monthly Social Media Calendar

Honestly there are so many social media sites today it's almost impossible to keep up with them all. That's where my calendar comes in handy. I manually schedule as much as I can and make sure to promote all of my new posts as well as older ones that need a little more love.

Writing Blog Posts

I bet you were starting to wonder when I would get around to the actual blogging part. My love of writing is what drew me to the world of blogging in the first place. I keep a running list of blog topics in my notepad on my phone in case I get a case of writer's block. I typically write three blog articles a day when I'm working on my blogging days. This gives me the opportunity to have my articles scheduled months in advance so I can take time off when I want or need too.

Photography/ Creating Images

I usually spend four or five hours a week working on photography, creating images, and editing photos to include in my blog articles and social media posts.

Creating Posts for Social Media

I'm still getting used to the whole video thing on socials so I spend quite a bit of time filming and editing for these. I use the images I created for the articles and create different versions to post on my socials to promote my new articles.

On Going Education

I love learning as long as I learn my way. I'm not a fan of traditional style learning because it never worked for me. I'm an audio and visual learner. I try to learn something new everyday. I use podcasts, YouTube, and free learning sites to expand my knowledge on things I enjoy.

B-PURE Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

I absolutely love trying new skin care products, especially those designed for people with sensitive skin like myself.  A few months ago on a trip to my local Dollar Tree I found the B- Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser and decided to give it a try.  Review  I was really surprised at how well the B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser worked at removing the dirt and oil from my face without stripping and irritating my skin. Let me just say it is definitely the most gentle skin cleanser I have ever come across. It leaves my skin clean, smooth and refreshed every time I use it. The B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser is now part of my daily 3 Step Skin Care Routine. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.
