A New Chapter

A New Chapter Begins: Welcome to My Next Adventure

If you've been visiting this little corner of the internet for years,  I would like to say , thank you.

This blog began as a family blog that focused on homeschooling, food, reviews, a place to share everyday moments, parenting adventures, celebrations, challenges, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with being a stay at home mom.  Through the years, I  navigated home schooling challenges, schedules, holidays, milestones, and countless memories that I was able to share with all of you.

But as life changes, so do we. I have been struggling for years ever since my daughter graduated. Somewhere between raising my daughter and caring for elderly parents I lost myself and my identity along the way,

Children grow up. Families evolve. Priorities shift. And somewhere along the way, many women including myself find themselves asking an important question:

What comes next?

Today, I'm excited to share that this blog is entering a brand-new chapter! This space is  created especially for women over 50 who are embracing life with wisdom, curiosity, confidence, and a sense of adventure.

Why the Change?

The truth is simple because over the years I have changed.

The topics that once filled my days are no longer relevant to the stage of life that I’m currently in. I'm discovering new interests and hobbies , revisiting old passions like reading and writing and finding joy in brand new experiences and rediscovering myself.

For the first time in my life, I’m putting myself first and it feels great!

What You'll Find Here

.

As the blog continues to grow I will be sharing my life over 50 with all of you and I can’t wait for all of you to share your experiences and wisdom with me as well. Here are a few things that I will be focusing on:

Fashion and Style

Style after 50 can be fun, modern, comfortable, and uniquely personal..

Books Worth Reading

I will be sharing  book recommendations that I love in all different formats , I will also be sharing my favorite magazines that I subscribe to.

Entertainment and Pop Culture

Movies, television shows, and nostalgic entertainment will all have a place here because enjoying ourselves never goes out of style. I will be sharing broadcast tv shows, streaming ( both Paid and free) streaming services.

A Community for Women in This Season of Life

More than anything, I hope this blog becomes a welcoming space for women who understand that life after 50 is not the end of something, instead it’s a brand new chapter. The best is still to come.

I have reached the age where I no longer care what people think of me and I will be unapologetically myself.

I still have so much more to do still, I have books to read, articles to write , friendships to nurture, styles to try, and dreams to pursue.

Benefits of an Evening Meditation Routine

Let's face it, the stress of everyday life can wreak havoc on our physical, emotional, and mental health. That is why I started an evening meditation routine to help me unwind after a long day. I practice this routine every single night without fail and have seen great results. 5 Steps To Help You Relax I have five simple things I do every night to help me unwind to relax my body and mind. Step One A hot bath to soothe aching muscles. Step Two Sitting in my favorite chair with a cup of coffee and a book for thirty minutes to an hour. Step Three I pull up YouTube and do an evening ( sleep ) meditation. Step Four I take a Sound Bath .  You can find many of these on YouTube. Step Five I put on my favorite relaxation music and set it on repeat so it plays all night long. I highly encourage everyone to set up an evening meditation routine. I have learned that if I start my day with a morning meditation routine and end it with a meditation routine my overall heal...

Insight Timer App Review

Welcome back friends. I recently discovered a new app called Insight Timer and I wanted to share my thoughts with you on it. I learned about this app when a podcast host I listened to mentioned it and I decided to download it and try it out for myself and all of you. Insight Timer Review  I have been using the Insight Timer App for a few weeks now and the first thing I noticed about it was that there are no ads at all. The Insight Timer App is free to use, you can make donations if you choose and they do offer a premium service although they never push it on you which is really nice. Always a plus in my book. I would personally classify this app under self- help / self-care . Again that is personal assessment.  I will tell you this though, since the day I downloaded the Insight Timer App I have used it at least twice a day every single day.  The app has a lot to offer but I personally use it for meditation, mindfulness, gratitude, affirmations, manifestation, and journali...
