February Faves

February has definitely been a busy month for me. I have spent the month writing, baking, reading, watching my favorite tv shows and movies, discovering new podcasts, watching my favorite YouTuber, meditating and strengthening my spiritual practice.

February Faves: Big Stories, Binge-Worthy Picks & Must-See Moments from the Shortest Month of the Year

February may be the shortest month on the calendar, but it absolutely refuses to be outdone. Somehow, these 28 (sometimes 29!) days managed to pack in more page-turners, jaw-dropping finales, addictive podcasts, and highly anticipated movie buzz than I expected. Between cozy nights in with a book, “just one more episode” TV binges, and falling down a YouTube rabbit hole at midnight, this month has been nonstop entertainment.

Here’s everything that made February my most entertaining month so far.

Meditation for Better Health

I started a daily meditation practice when I was a teenager and I continue to practice daily all these years later. One of the tools that I use in my practice is the Insight Timer App. The app is free to use and has really helped me step up my meditation by giving me access to different types of meditation and different lengths. Some days I have more time to devote to my meditation and on those super busy days I can log in to the app and find a five or ten minute meditation that I can squeeze into my busy schedule.  I do everything I can to improve my health every single day.

Books I Couldn't Put Down

There’s something about February that makes curling up with a good book feel extra special. Cool  evenings are the perfect time to pick up a good book.

This month, I was drawn toward emotionally layered stories and twisty plots that kept me guessing. A great February read needs to do one of two things for me: completely transport me or keep me up way past my bedtime. Bonus points if it does both.

Whether it was a cozy mystery, non- fiction, romance , or a historical western that unraveled chapter by chapter, my reading list reminded me why books will always be my first love. There’s nothing quite like that feeling of saying, “Okay, one more chapter,” and suddenly realizing it’s 2 a.m and that I just read another book cover to cover.

If you’re looking to refresh your reading list, February is proof that even the shortest month leaves room for big stories.

Pluto TV

If February had a theme, it would be: “Just one more episode.”

Pluto TV is my go-to for streaming. They have all my favorite movies and TV shows. I love the fact that I have the option of live tv or I can pick a movie, and they have always had channels for certain tv shows and I was thrilled when they added an X- Files channel. I can now watch Mulder and Scully anytime I want day or night, 24 hours a day! Whether it was a gripping crime series, a feel-good comfort show. I also love watching Criminal Minds, Rizzoli and Isles, and much more. I swore I wouldn’t get invested in (and absolutely did), my watchlist was fully stacked this month.

And let’s be honest, very few things feel better than revisiting your favorite tv shows.

Podcast Time

Podcasts were the real MVPs of February. Whether I was walking, cleaning, or pretending to organize my life, I always had something playing in the background.

This month’s favorites ranged from deep-dive storytelling and true crime to insightful interviews and laugh-out-loud pop culture recaps. There’s something incredibly comforting about finding podcast hosts who feel like friends, offering commentary, perspective, or just pure entertainment.

This month I discovered a new podcast to listen to. I have been bingeing the older episodes every chance I get.

Ghosteas is the podcast I am referring to.  This is a paranormal podcast hosted by two sisters, Maci and Nadoly. They are ghost and tea enthusiasts that spill the tea every Monday and Thursday.

The best part? There’s always another episode waiting.

Favorite YouTube Show

YouTube continues to be the unexpected entertainment powerhouse in my life. Between long-form commentary videos, weekly recap shows, book discussions, and lifestyle content, I’ve been fully locked in especially when it comes to Southern Gothic Stories. My absolute favorite YouTube channel is Dixie after Dark. He has new episodes every Sunday night at 8:00 and I never miss an episode. I've even got my brother, my niece, and my daughter hooked on the show.  He covers hauntings and true crime but the best part of the stories is the historical fact checking that he does for every story. I have really learned so much and I no longer believe stories unless they have been researched and include the places of research. There is a possibility that I have been spoiled by historical research now thanks to Dixie after Dark.

There’s something uniquely personal about YouTube. Creators build entire communities around shared interests. Whether that’s dissecting a season finale, reviewing a new release, or diving deep into niche topics you didn’t even know you cared about.

I have also been using YouTube this month to keep up with new audiobook drops and upcoming trailers for movies and TV shows.

February definitely had me clicking “subscribe” more than once.

What I Love About February

Maybe it’s because the year is still fresh. Maybe it’s because winter naturally pushes us indoors with our screens and stacks of books. Or maybe it’s just that great storytelling never takes a month off.

Whatever the reason, February proved that you don’t need 31 days to make an impact.

Between unforgettable characters, shocking plot twists, thought-provoking conversations, and trailers that gave me chills, this shortest month has been the busiest and the most entertaining so far.

Now I have to ask:

What were your February faves?

B-PURE Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

I absolutely love trying new skin care products, especially those designed for people with sensitive skin like myself.  A few months ago on a trip to my local Dollar Tree I found the B- Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser and decided to give it a try.  Review  I was really surprised at how well the B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser worked at removing the dirt and oil from my face without stripping and irritating my skin. Let me just say it is definitely the most gentle skin cleanser I have ever come across. It leaves my skin clean, smooth and refreshed every time I use it. The B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser is now part of my daily 3 Step Skin Care Routine. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.
