A Homemaker's Schedule

Good morning and welcome back to the blog. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today I will be sharing my schedule for homemaking that I have perfected over the last 27 years. Over the years my Homemaking schedule has changed. Our daughter is now grown and homeschooling is no longer a part of my schedule. You would think that would open up quite a bit of free time however I have found plenty of things to fill the space. For years now we have been taking care of my elderly parents, everything from pharmacy runs, grocery shopping, cleaning for them, laundry, and taking them to doctors appointments. We have also been focusing on helping neighbors when we can as well as blogging and I will be starting a podcast in the next few months. So here is my Homemaker Schedule. You can use this schedule or adjust it to fit your life.

Me Time

I start my morning routine at

6:00 AM .
I get up and do my yoga, meditation, and Bible study.

At 7:15
AM I have my first coffee of the day.

7:45 AM
Shower, get dressed, hair and makeup. It's very important to get up every day and get dressed and do my hair and makeup because it makes me feel good and gives me a boost of confidence.

8:30 AM
I go over my schedule for the day. ( I plan my schedule for the week on Sundays).

Morning Schedule

8:45 AM
I put the percolator on the stove and start slowly cooking a pot of coffee. ( Old fashioned percolators make the best coffee by the way)

9:00 AM
I start cooking breakfast. We have a pretty simple breakfast that really doesn't take too long to cook. Grits, Sausage, Eggs, and Toast.

9:30 AM
we eat breakfast and drink coffee together.

10:15 AM
I clean the kitchen. Wash, dry, and put away the dishes. Wipe down counters, stove, and table. Sweep and mop the floors.

10:45 AM
I make the bed, dust the bedroom, vacuum the bedroom floor. Then I clean the master bathroom. Wiping down the counters and sink. Putting things away, picking up any laundry that may have been left on the floor from the night before. Clean the toilet, sweep and mop the floor. ( I only deep clean the tub one day a week) our daughter cleans the other bathroom.

11:00 AM

I leave this time slot open to run errands for us, my parents, or helping neighbors.

Afternoon Schedule

1:00 PM

Lunch and coffee at home.

2:00 PM

I do laundry on Mondays, Tuesday through Friday I use this time for working on the blog and my podcast.

4:00 PM

I work outside in the yard, cleaning the patio and watering the plants.

Evening Schedule

5:00 PM

I start cooking dinner. Nothing to fancy. If I'm really tired or if I am having a really bad chronic pain day I will go with one of our favorite simple dinners.

6:00 PM

I vacuum the living room and hallway and the other two bedrooms.

6:30 PM

I soak in a hot bath and my husband makes coffee so it's ready when I get out of the tub and we have coffee on the patio together.

7:30 PM

I grab my journal and write down everything that I'm grateful for that day and look over the schedule for the next day.

8:00 - 10:00 PM

relax and spend time with family .

10:00 PM

Off to bed for a good night's sleep.

B-PURE Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

I absolutely love trying new skin care products, especially those designed for people with sensitive skin like myself.  A few months ago on a trip to my local Dollar Tree I found the B- Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser and decided to give it a try.  Review  I was really surprised at how well the B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser worked at removing the dirt and oil from my face without stripping and irritating my skin. Let me just say it is definitely the most gentle skin cleanser I have ever come across. It leaves my skin clean, smooth and refreshed every time I use it. The B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser is now part of my daily 3 Step Skin Care Routine. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.
