7 Must Have Beauty Products for Women over 40

7 Must-have beauty products for women over 40

In my much younger days, I would spend hours on my hair and makeup before I would leave the house. When my daughter was born I learned how to accomplish my beauty routine in 10-15 minutes because let's face it mom simply does not have the luxury of spending 2hours on makeup. Now that I am over 40 I really have simplified my beauty routine and love it.

CeraVe

Living in Florida definitely has its perks, unfortunately, it also has unbearable heat and humidity. While the rest of the country is enjoying cool, crisp, fall weather Florida is still hitting triple digits.

With the combination of extreme heat and humidity here in the South and my aging skin, I need all the help I can get. Cerave lotion has been a lifesaver for my skin. I love the fact that it is a nice, thick lotion that absorbs quickly into my skin and moisturizes my skin for twenty-four hours.

Dove Soap
You're probably thinking "Seriously" right about now and yes, I am really serious. A simple bar of Dove soap and a little bit of water is what I use to clean my face. I have tried hundreds of face cleaners over the years. There were very few that I loved.

The reason I use Dove on a daily basis is that it is great at removing dirt, oil, and impurities. It leaves my skin soft and smooth and moisturized and it works great with my sensitive skin. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Witch Hazel

I came across using Witch Hazel as a face toner purely by accident. Someone had suggested that my husband use it on his leg to see if it would help his lymphedema so he asked me to do some research on Witch Hazel. Unfortunately, he was not able to use it. After discovering all the different types of benefits Witch Hazel had to offer I decided to try it out like a toner

I was able to see instant results. Witch Hazel tightens the skin and reduces the size of your pores immediately.

                          Snow Fox
Day and Night moisturizer
I discovered this brand a little over a year ago and immediately fell in love with this product.
The moisturizer works great on my sensitive skin. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin. Bonus points: It works as both day and night cream.

Sephora Lip Stain

This is a sample I came across on the internet. The Cream Lip Stain ( red velvet) is incredible. I typically spend all day reapplying lip stain so I was thrilled at the staying power with the Sephora collection. It lasted through food and drinks. I will definitely be switching to Sephora.

Nail Polish

Maybe it's Southern thing but I absolutely can not stand naked nails. As far as I am concerned if I don't have a nice manicure I am not dressed.

Nail Polish is probably my biggest expense. I have to try every brand, every color, and every shade. I do my nails on a daily basis so my nails match my outfit of the day. I try to stick to pastels, pinks, and red simply because of the fact that I love the way my nails look.

Body Spray or Perfume ( Signature Scent)

Having a signature scent is a must-have for every woman. Personally, I prefer a lighter, floral fragrance because of the fact that it works best with my body's natural chemistry.

B-PURE Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

I absolutely love trying new skin care products, especially those designed for people with sensitive skin like myself.  A few months ago on a trip to my local Dollar Tree I found the B- Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser and decided to give it a try.  Review  I was really surprised at how well the B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser worked at removing the dirt and oil from my face without stripping and irritating my skin. Let me just say it is definitely the most gentle skin cleanser I have ever come across. It leaves my skin clean, smooth and refreshed every time I use it. The B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser is now part of my daily 3 Step Skin Care Routine. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.
