Celebrate National Lawn and Garden Month with Florida’s Must-See Gardens, Nurseries and Plant Shows

I love this time of year! The fresh air and flowers in bloom. Spring is my favorite season. I spend all my time outdoors working in the yard and planting flowers for the year. The best part of Spring though is all the local events featuring plants and flowers. Spring Fever In The Garden in Winter Garden is always on the list of things to do. I spend the day walking around meeting people and learning about all the beautiful plants and flowers.

Green Thumb Festival in St. Petersburg

April 25th & 26th

Orlando, FL — This April, communities across the Sunshine State are invited to celebrate National Lawn and Garden Month by exploring Florida’s vibrant network of botanical gardens, nurseries and plant-focused festivals. From world-renowned tropical collections to local garden centers and seasonal shows, Florida offers countless opportunities to connect with nature and experience the impact of its horticulture industry.

During National Lawn and Garden Month, the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) encourages local communities to see what the industry has to offer. Events will be held throughout the state, including the Green Thumb Festival in St. Petersburg,  Spring Fever in the Garden in Winter Garden and many, many more!

“National Lawn and Garden Month is a time to recognize the role plants play in our daily lives, from beautifying our communities to supporting local economies,” said Tal Coley, chief executive officer of FNGLA. “Florida is uniquely positioned as a year-round horticulture destination, but April is the perfect time to experience it.”

While Florida’s signature festivals and large-scale events draw crowds from across the state, the experience doesn’t stop there. Floridians can continue the journey by exploring local nurseries and botanical gardens that bring the same inspiration to a more personal, community level. With hands-on plant shopping and year-round garden displays, these destinations offer a deeper connection to Florida’s landscapes and the experts who help them thrive.

Florida leads the nation in floriculture sales and is home to more than 18,000 green industry establishments, including over 11,000 landscape service businesses. As the nation’s largest state nursery and landscape association, FNGLA supports thousands of businesses dedicated to growing, designing and maintaining the landscapes that enhance quality of life across the state.

“Florida’s horticulture industry plays a vital role in both our economy and our quality of life,” Coley added. “It’s an industry that supports jobs and growth, but also helps define the look and feel of the Sunshine State.”

About FNGLA
The Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) represents Florida’s environmental horticulture industry which generates a $41.9 billion economic impact and supports 279,000+ jobs. FNGLA works to better Florida’s nursery and landscape industry while raising the bar on professionalism.

Insight Timer App Review

Welcome back friends. I recently discovered a new app called Insight Timer and I wanted to share my thoughts with you on it. I learned about this app when a podcast host I listened to mentioned it and I decided to download it and try it out for myself and all of you. Insight Timer Review  I have been using the Insight Timer App for a few weeks now and the first thing I noticed about it was that there are no ads at all. The Insight Timer App is free to use, you can make donations if you choose and they do offer a premium service although they never push it on you which is really nice. Always a plus in my book. I would personally classify this app under self- help / self-care . Again that is personal assessment.  I will tell you this though, since the day I downloaded the Insight Timer App I have used it at least twice a day every single day.  The app has a lot to offer but I personally use it for meditation, mindfulness, gratitude, affirmations, manifestation, and journali...
