About the book

As the manager of Vino y Vida Wine Bar in Colinas, Cece Barton's first Alexander Valley harvest is a whirlwind of activity.

Her twin sister, Allie Halstead, who owns a nearby Victorian bed and breakfast, is accustomed to the hustle and bustle of peak tourist season. But Cece barely has a moment to enjoy her new home in between worrying about her estranged college - age daughter, juggling her responsibilities at the bar, and navigating the sticky politics of the local wine association
.
Just when it seems things can't grow any more intense, Colinas is rocked by a murder within the wine community.. and Cece is identified as a possible suspect! With her reputation and her livelihood on the line - and the Sonoma County deputy sheriff breathing down her neck - Cece has no choice but to open up her own murder investigation.

Tensions are already high in the valley, as a massive wildfire creeps toward Colinas, threatening homes, vineyards, and the vital tourist trade. And now, with a murderer on the loose, and Cece's sleuthing exposing the valley's bitterest old rivalries and secret new alliances, Colinas feels ready to pop! But with Allie's help, Cece is determined to catch the killer and clear her name before everything she's worked so hard for goes up in flames.

Review

Murder Uncorked has a picturesque setting in the California wine country.

In this first book of the Cece Barton Mystery series, this cozy mystery book is perfect for anyone who loves a good mystery, wine and food lovers.

Murder Uncorked has a nice steady pace from the very first page all the way to the last.
Maddie Day has a unique writing style that you don't come across very often. She literally breathes life into the characters and they literally come off the pages of the book. You will find yourself magically transported to wine country and with precise details of the wine and food you will find yourself sitting in a corner booth at the Vino y Vida Wine bar watching Cece and Mooncat interacting with locals and tourists. After a quick stop at the Vino y Vida Wine bar you will stroll through downtown and spend hours perusing the shelves at the local bookstore, checking out the local talent at the art gallery, grabbing a bite at the local diner, or tasting the delectable treats at the food festival.

Cece Barton has started a new chapter in her life, a new town, a new house, and a new job. She's the manager at the Vino y Vida Wine bar in California's wine country after her daughter heads off to college. Cece is a strong, independent woman surrounded by family and friends that have become family. A widower who had a very rocky marriage and really isn't sure if she's ready to open her heart and trust anyone is something she still struggles with.

Trying to rebuild her life Cece unintentionally gets dragged into a murder investigation when the most hated man in town ends up dead.

The detective assigned to the case zeros in on Cece as her prime suspect due to a business deal.

In order to clear her name she decides to let her inner sleuth emerge in order to clear her name.

As she sets off to talk to people she realizes the whole town had run-ins with the victim and there is a never ending list of suspects.
As she continues to investigate she becomes the killer's next target.

Murder Uncorked will have you wrestling with the clues revealed throughout the book and keep you guessing all the way to the shocking reveal.

I enjoyed this cozy mystery, the setting, and the characters so much that I am looking forward to reading every book in this series as they become available.
Definitely add this book to your bookshelf.

B-PURE Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

I absolutely love trying new skin care products, especially those designed for people with sensitive skin like myself.  A few months ago on a trip to my local Dollar Tree I found the B- Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser and decided to give it a try.  Review  I was really surprised at how well the B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser worked at removing the dirt and oil from my face without stripping and irritating my skin. Let me just say it is definitely the most gentle skin cleanser I have ever come across. It leaves my skin clean, smooth and refreshed every time I use it. The B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser is now part of my daily 3 Step Skin Care Routine. I highly recommend trying it for yourself. My Daily Routine

Morning routines are extremely important, they set the mood and the pace for our day. Although some days are better than others there are things you can do every morning to be productive. I have seven things I do every morning before I even attempt to start my day. The most important thing to remember is to not put too much pressure on yourself. Start your day at a slow and steady pace and you will have a much smoother day. Make Bed The first thing I do every morning is to make the bed as soon as I get up. This is non-negotiable. I love the fact that I accomplish something as soon as I wake up. I actually blame my mom for this one. My brother and I were not allowed to leave our rooms as kids until our beds were made. It worked, it's still the first thing I do every day. Coffee and Breakfast My brain will not work without coffee. Lots of coffee! I drink my coffee and eat breakfast which typically consists of a bowl of grits or a waffle with peanut butter. Bible Study and Prayer Time...
