 Years before the CW introduced us to the world of Supernatural and the Winchester Family there were Freaky Links. The short-lived yet beloved show ran from October 2000 until June 2001 with an amazing cast. Ethan Embry as Derek Barnes, Lizette Carrian as Lan Williams, Lisa Sheridan as Chloe Tanner, Karim Prince as Jason Tatum, and Dennis Christopher as Vince J. Elsing.

Derek takes over his twin brother’s paranormal research website after his death. With some help from his friends, they search out and investigate urban legends and more.

Heading home from an investigation, Derek, Chloe, and Jason come across a car accident and dive headfirst into a brand new case on the side of the road in Georgia. According to the townspeople, there is an ancient evil the haunts the town every twenty years, however, the Sheriff tries to convince them that it’s nothing more than a bear attack and tells them to get out of town.

Derek comes across a video of a man being dragged into the sewer behind a reporter during a live broadcast and the team heads to New York to investigate. Chloe is also in New York attending a conference when Derek, Lan, and Jason show up at her door and take over her hotel room for the investigation. Tension mounts between Chloe and the team as they try to unravel the truth.

Derek and the team head to Cassadaga, Florida a town known for its psychic and mystical energies to find out what lured Adam there prior to his death. They discover that Adam hadn’t just visited the town once. He had been going there for several months researching something for months.

In the pilot episode, Derek receives an email containing video footage from a surveillance camera showing his twin brother Adam who had died. After verifying that the video had not been tampered with he sets off to get answers on why he is seeing his twin walking around alive and well.

After watching a video of a guy jumping off a bridge and landing on his feet unharmed Derek starts an investigation. Derek is quickly brought into the fold of a group of adrenaline junkies. Derek must discover whether they are adrenaline junkies or are they, vampires. Time is running out for him and must figure it out before he loses his life.

Derek and his team are contacted by a man claiming that his pregnant wife is possessed and begs Derek to help them. During a visit to their home, they are able to get video footage showing that the wife is not only possessed but that she is also being haunted. The team discovers that she is being haunted by a missing teenage girl that she met briefly one night and she is trying to get her to solve her murder and bring the culprit to justice.
