Nancy Drew S1 Ep16 " The Haunting of Nancy Drew Recap

S1 Ep16

Title: " The Haunting of Nancy Drew"

Original Air Date: 3-11-20

Synopsis:

While using a combination of forensic clues, skilled observations and relentless questioning, Nancy unravels what happened the night Lucy Sable died.

Recap:

Tonight's episode picks up right where "The Terror of Horseshoe Bay" left off, with Nancy choking up the wreath they used to summon the Aglaeca. With only a few hours left to prove her dad's innocence she throws the wreath to the side to deal with later.

Meanwhile at the Claw, the Drew Crew is overseeing John on the examination of the bones after Nancy has called him to come in to identify the bones of Lucy Sable.

Meanwhile, Nancy is looking through old case files trying to find anything that might clear her dad's name when Lucy creates a small tornado in the house that leads Nancy to discover a set of steak knives hidden in the pantry ( well, minus the one the police took as evidence with Lucy's blood and Carson's fingerprints).

John confirms the bones are Lucy Sable's and also finds a second set of female DNA on the bones.

Nancy is now wondering if her mom may have killed Lucy and sends a sample of her own hair to his lab and asks him to test it against the second DNA sample to see if he can do a mother/daughter match.

Back at the Claw with Lucy's bones scattered about, the police show up to search the Claw. Watching John and the Drew Crew scrambling to hide the bones during the search is hilarious. After Karen was arrested for her part in the death of Tiffany Hudson while working for Chief McGinnis a detective was brought in  to investigate.

Later in the episode Nancy realizes an inconsistency in writing styles of the emails sent by Ryan when she's going back through the emails between Ryan and Lucy.
Nancy learns the last email was sent from Lisbon where Ryan's dad was acquiring a business and Ryan was away at boarding school.

Armed with new information Nancy enlists Ryan's help to help solve the mystery surrounding the death of Lucy Sable.

Ryan confesses to Nancy that he did come to Horseshoe Bay the night Lucy died but by the time he arrived Lucy was already dead. Ryan also admitted to her that he blamed himself all these years because he thought if he had arrived a little sooner that Lucy might still be alive.

Following the only lead they have, Ryan and Nancy head to the ice cream shop where Ryan and Lucy always met. They question the waitress and discover she was working there the night Lucy died and had seen a town car following Lucy.
Ryan tells Nancy his father had a town car.
Ryan confronts his father with Nancy at his side and he admits that he did see Lucy that night and told her to stay away from his family and then offered Nancy the same advice. They also learn that when Lucy walked away from the car she met up with her friend Karen in front of the house.

Karen confirms that she saw Lucy that night and that she was visibly upset. Karen was the one who had nominated Lucy for Sea Queen in an effort to raise her spirits. Unfortunately, when Lucy won the Sea Queen title the townspeople really turned hateful and started gossiping about her even worse than usual.

Karen told Nancy when Lucy went in her house she was carrying her journal but when Lucy rushed past her leaving she didn't have the journal.

Ryan and Nancy head to Lucy's old house to search for the journal and find it hidden in the walls of the house.

As Nancy reads the journal entry in open court, the truth is finally revealed.

Lucy wrote that she could no longer endure the bullying and gossiping that she had been subjected to for years and committed suicide.
Lucy's journal was her suicide note and all charges against Carson Drew were dropped.

John calls Nancy with the results of the mother/ daughter DNA results and Nancy goes to her dad to get some answers.

In a very emotional scene, he explains that he and her mom were having a picnic and watching the fireworks.

Lucy called her mom hysterical and they rushed off to meet her at the cliff. Carson told her when they arrived she had just given birth and they used the knife to cut the umbilical cord.

Lucy handed them the baby and begged them to take care of her and to never let the Hudson's know about the baby. When they turned around to check on the baby Lucy jumped off the cliff.

The Mother/ Daughter DNA match was Nancy and Lucy.

Nancy Drew is Lucy and Ryan's baby!

B-PURE Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

I absolutely love trying new skin care products, especially those designed for people with sensitive skin like myself.  A few months ago on a trip to my local Dollar Tree I found the B- Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser and decided to give it a try.  Review  I was really surprised at how well the B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser worked at removing the dirt and oil from my face without stripping and irritating my skin. Let me just say it is definitely the most gentle skin cleanser I have ever come across. It leaves my skin clean, smooth and refreshed every time I use it. The B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser is now part of my daily 3 Step Skin Care Routine. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.
